Assessment Availability

For ADHD, intellectual, and psychoeducational assessments we have openings online in November or in-person in January. The typical assessment fee is $2400.

The Autism Spectrum assessment fee is 3500. For child and adolescent assessments, we have some payment accommodations. Send us an email at help@horizonpsychology.ca to inquire about any other details.

Adult Appointments:

Choose among in-person, online, or phone appointments. If your preferred counsellor does not have openings, you can add your name to their waitlist.

Child and Teen Appointments:

Please create an account using your child’s name. We can later create your parent account for managing booking and payments.

Adult Counselling

Using collaborative approach our counsellors offer support with anxiety, depression, trauma and stress-related difficulties, grief and loss, sleep issues, life changes, relationship issues, as well as work and learning problems.


Adolescent Counselling

Our counsellors use evidence-based treatment strategies and caring approach to help adolescents find balance in their lives and cope with difficult circumstances. We focus on building healthy emotional-regulation and communication skills. We also work to improve understanding between teens and parents.


Child Counselling

Using play-based and art-based strategies, our counsellors help children learn about their thoughts and feelings and express them in healthy ways. We support children in building coping and social skills, and encourage kindness towards other. Using play-based and art-based strategies, our counsellors help children learn about their thoughts and feelings and express them in healthy ways. We support children in building coping and social skills, and encourage kindness towards other. We also assist parents in learning evidence-based support and discipline strategies to help their children grow.
We work with childhood anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, adjustment to parental separation, adjustment to illness, and behavioural difficulties (e.g. oppositional behaviours, aggressive behaviours, and sexual behaviour problems).

Couples counselling can help create more connection, mutual respect, and understanding between partners. It can also help remove the obstacles in communication and build skills for addressing disagreements.

Marriage Preparation

Marriage preparation can help couples build strong foundation for their future together. The appointments can help you and your partner create mutual goals and values for your marriage, improve communication, and talk about differences with care and respect. This service is intended for couples of any spiritual background.


Evening and Weekend Counselling Appointments

We understand that time for counselling needs to be balanced with other commitments on the schedule. Our counsellors offer evening and weekend appointments to support flexible access to services for adults, children, and youth.


Non-Insured Health Benefits Program (NIHB) Counselling

Some of our counsellors are connected with the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. If you have access to this program, please feel free to book an appointment.

Nancy completed a Master of Counselling and a Master of Divinity degrees. She holds the Canadian Certified Counsellor certification with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, as well as the Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner certification with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care.

Nancy has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for over twenty-two years, and received the Canadian Forces Decoration award for her service. She provided mental health services to the members of the Canadian Armed Forces for over thirteen years. During that time, she worked with individuals, couples and families facing various challenges and difficult circumstances.

Nancy practices in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief and loss, suicidal ideation and self-harm, adapting to life after serious injury/disease, military life, spirituality, gender identity and diversity, substance use and behavioural addictions. She also practices in the areas of couples therapy and marriage preparation.

Vanessa completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology and a Masters of Counselling (Applied Psychology). She also holds the Canadian Certified Counsellor certification with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. During the last 7 years, prior to joining our team, she worked with residential treatment and disability treatment programs, criminal justice programs, and mental health crisis response services.

Deborah practices in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, issues related to identity and self-esteem, self-harm, conflict resolution, boundary setting, and relationship development. She is also experienced in working with clients through cultural issues, such as life transitions and change, dealing with loss and feelings of displacement, and managing identity-related challenges. Deborah is fluent in Mandarin and has a personal experience of growing up between the cultures.

Alexandra has been registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists since 2013. She has been practicing in the areas of trauma, grief, anxiety, major life changes, chronic illness, pain, and depression. She works with members of the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, and Veteran Affairs.

Additionally, Alexandra supports parents in fostering connected relationships with their children and helping them build skills for engaged meaningful lives.

As a humanistic therapist, Alexandra believes in her clients’ strengths and potential. In both government and private setting, he has been fortunate to work with a wide range of clients in age, identity and backgrounds.
